Taylor and Scotty are the cutest couple!! It was such a joy spending the afternoon with them exploring Carmel by the Sea for their engagement photos! These two are getting married Summer 2022 and having their wedding in Carmel Valley, so it was only fitting we took their engagement session in that area. The weather was absolutely perfect for their engagement session this past June and it makes me so excited for their wedding next year!
We started off their engagement session at La Playa Carmel which is a beautiful property in Carmel by the Sea. After they grabbed some drinks at the restaurant on-site, we walked around and took photos with the gorgeous backdrops, lush florals, and beautiful architecture of La Playa. Next up was downtown Carmel by the Sea which has so many beautiful nooks and Spanish-tiled steps that are perfect for photos! It’s hard to pick a favorite spot here, but that wall of bougainvillea might just be it for me!
After a quick outfit change, it was time for golden hour on the beach! Carmel Beach is one of my favorites to photograph at. The sand it so light and acts as a natural reflector and brightens up my clients faces perfectly! I love that Taylor and Scotty wore more “dressier” outfits for this part of their engagement session. This adds even more variety to the photos and the dressy outfits complement the beach setting beautifully. Towards the end of the session we had some fun in the water and got some really amazing photos of them getting splashed!
This was such a fun engagement session and a perfect day in Carmel with these two!!
