This session is very special to me because Ashley is one of my dearest friends! I am so happy and excited for Ashley and Matthieu to welcome their newest addition into their little family! A few weeks ago we spent the afternoon strolling around Filoli together where I photographed their maternity photos at all the beautiful spots around the gardens.

Ashley and I met about 10 years ago! I was just starting college and got my first job at Urban Outfitters. We became friends while working there together and stayed connected over the years as our paths separated and crossed every year with new jobs, school, and life! We later worked together again at Anthropologie when Ashley moved back to California from New York. I love that our friendship has grown so much over the past decade, even when we wouldn’t see each other for a year, we could jump right back as if we never were apart.

Fast forward to 2020, Ashley and I started meeting up for weekly coffee dates. These became one of the things I looked forward to each week last year. Even during the pandemic, we were able to *safely* hang out outside and chat for hours over a cup of coffee. Earlier this year she told me they were expecting and I couldn’t be happier for the two of them! I’ve seen her cute little bump grow each time we met for our coffee dates! I was so excited to photograph their maternity session and document this special moment in their lives! Next up, newborn photos very soon!!
