It’s not very often I get to travel out of the San Francisco Bay Area for an engagement session. When Maggie and Stevie booked me to be their wedding photographer and asked if I would come down to San Diego to take their engagement photos. I was SO excited!! Being from California, I’m always drawn to scenic locations by the coast so getting to be in San Diego and photograph by the ocean is a dream!

We chose a few locations for their session to make sure we had plenty of variety for their photos. A cute little park and neighborhood by the coast was the perfect starting point for their engagement session! I just love the colors and style of this area with lots of greenery, palm trees, cacti, and bougainvillea. Maggie and Stevie brought their adorable pup Cashew to the session and he was the cutest little doggy model!

Next, we went to a beautiful beach in Encinitas for golden hour! If you know me you know I love a good golden sunset. We had the most perfect light for the end of their engagement session! After we wrapped up we all went out to dinner and it was so nice getting to spend quality time with the sweetest couple!

I cannot wait to photograph these two again at their wedding next fall in Carmel Valley. I already know it’s going to be an amazing celebration!!
