Emily and Esteban originally planned to get married in Florida this year. After having to postpone multiple times, they decided to elope where they got engaged at in California with some of their closest family! Their wedding took place at the Harvest Inn which is a beautiful hotel and wedding venue nestled right next to the vineyards in St. Helena, CA. Right outside their room was the most amazing scenic view overlooking the vineyards and mountains in the distance.

Since their wedding had to be downsized and they were flying in from out of state, they chose to have four of their closest family come with them. Their wedding of six was so intimate and special, and they had the best time celebrating their marriage together! Emily and Esteban are the sweetest couple and I loved spending the evening photographing them and their family.

There have been so many elopements, micro weddings, intimate ceremonies, whatever you want to call it- smaller versions of the huge celebrations, but maybe even a little more special. I love seeing some couples completely change their plans and have just an intimate wedding with their closest loved ones. This year is definitely reminding couples WHY they are choosing to have weddings and what is most important is that they are marrying their favorite person!
